Kemper now:
I think Harry tried not to be a killer by *action* rather than by
*choice*. I see your point that Aang is a pacifist (or at least
pacifist-esque) and that Harry is not (Crucio!, anyone?), but like
Aang he is not a killer.

Kemper now:
I don't know. Harry knew of the prophecy which lends to the
possibility of Voldemort being killed as 'being killed' falls within
the spectrum of being vanquished. Either way, Harry knew he was the
chosen one. Aang did not.

Kemper now:
Do you think Harry believed that Voldemort would repent? I don't
think he did. But if I were Harry, I would also let Voldemort know
that he could repent. If Harry didn't give Voldemort that little soul
saving information, he would be more active in killing Voldemort.
<--- I know that's not a cogent thought, but I'm too tired to flesh it
out; my apologies... :)
