Carol responds:
Sorry to waste a post, but I was addressing Pippin. She's the one who
said (IIRC) that Harry doesn't recognize people from other Houses or
even his own unless they're classmates or on the Quidditch team, a
point that jkoney and I have also made.

Carol, who sees no point in continuing to argure our differing
interpretations of this passage
