I might add that I coined the phrase "the medium that dare not speak its 
name" several years ago - and I hope that is recognised as a nod in the 
direction of Oscar Wilde.
:-)

Many of us enjoy the films as much as the books - I came to the books via 
the films as it happens.

I think Potioncat has outlined our views very clearly....
