Even in the WW the rain falls on the just and the unjust. In the real world doing the right thing doesn't always come with a reward, that's why it isn't always easy.
I have always been taken by DD's contrasting right with easy. Not right vrs wrong or right vrs not-so-good, but right vrs easy. It comes to mind many times in my ordinary day-to-day life.
Back to Cedric, I didn't quite get why DD made this statement as he discussed Cedric. Of course, he wasn't speaking about Cedric's decision in this case. Yet, in LV's world if a person can be killed just for being in the wrong place, then taking the easy way out won't protect you from harm. Doing the right thing might put you in danger, but not doing it won't protect you.
