Draco, like TDL, didn't have any real friends; he had minions--Crabbe,
Goyle, Parker. Malfoy was drawn to Harry's power and fame to bath in
that reflected glory and make alliances to further his (or his dad's)
cause. In this respect Draco is a bit like Slughorn, only more
sinister. Slytherins use people like Kleenex.
