I'm really sorry for the possible OT, but you reminded me that the Russian translation of the book claims that Quirrell also didn't change clothes at all and slept at night in his day clothes, so that the vampire couldn't catch him off guard :-). I suppose poor Russian readers don't have any questions about that smell... :-).
