OR, JKR gets her facts mixed up, like the time of month for Lupin's
transformations or the placement of rooms or what year certain students
were supposed to be in. The author has made some minor mistakes, and
this could be yet another one of them. I don't think she intended to
have Hagrid exxagerate- rather I think she forgot she said this when
writing the later books.
