OK, I'll go along with that,if it could have been,"Look at me. I was wrong, Potter. Miss Granger, apparate me to St. Mungo's now."

I think Snape's life was atoning for James's and Lily's deaths--and showing Harry the memories that he did was his way of explaining it. Had he lived, maybe a conversation/apology---but not under the conditions of the current 7 years. 

I don't think Harry owes an apology for his father. How can you apologize for something that happened before you were born?

Harry was ten times the man of just about everyone--including Dumbledore, James, Sirius, Remus....
