It might be that _she has money,_ and Vernon hopes to inherit, either
himself or Dinky Duddums. She doesn't seem to be married or have
children of her own.
And I'd be very curious to meet Vernon's parents. It might be that
the way he acts is the only way he knows. God knows, I feel sorry for
Dudley---sooner or later, reality is going to bite him HARD.
