> (1) What was your initial thought about what was troubling Ginny when
>she came to sit with Harry and Ron?

I feel pretty sure that I felt that Ginny had something important to say,
but I wasn't sure what. I didn't think it was the sort of thing that Harry
and Ron expected, but I didn't yet suspect Ginny of being actively involved
herself.

> (2) While they are in the common room after the news of Ginny's
>disappearance, Ron thinks that she must have some information about
>the Chamber. At this point in the narrative, what would you have
>thought of this suggestion? What connection could you imagine
>between her and the Chamber?

I remember thinking that Ron and Harry thought that Ginny had seen
something.

> (3) Does your view of Lockhart change after reading this chapter? If so,
> in what way.

No, I had him figured out from the beginning.

> (5) Did it seem surprising that when a simple spell such as "Obliviate"
>backfired with such devastating results?

I think that JKR set this up well. She had it planned from the very
beginning of the book. I think the entire car hitting the WW and Ron's wand
being broken was all designed to set up this episode.

> (6) Please feel free to additionally pose your own questions.

>From the first time I read this, I wondered why no one had noticed the paper
in Hermonie's hand. Neither Dumbledore nor Madam Pomfrey nor anyone else,
till Harry and Ron. Any explanations?
