I wonder if that was also made clear in the movie DH 1, cannot remember it only that DE's search the Hogwarts Express.
What I liked in the movie DH 2 was the way they showed the depressing atmosphere of a morbid kind of militairy school by the marched of the students through the courtyard when the were summoned to the Great Hall.

nice clear and impressive image.... only where the heck did they came marching FROM.... the dorms are all inside Hogwarts.
