I bet someone was just a little behind in their reading. It happens, 
especially when you get the list by emails, since emails keep until you 
read them, even if it's weeks later.

I didn't mind the conversation though, because I think Rowling planned 
this confrontation partly to show how the kids will grow up, and partly 
in her theme of emotions and misdirection.
