Yes. I took Ancient History as one of my GCEs way back and Romulus and
Remus did jump out at me; after all Rome took its name from the first of
the brothers because mythology says that they had a fight about it.
My reaction on first reading the book before the werewolf connection was
revealed was the apparent incongruity of "lupin". We don't even use the
form "lupine" in everyday UK English. We're more likely to describe someone
or someone's behaviour as "Wolfish".
