Hermione lacks certain social skills.  She has been critisized before for her lack of empathy.  She also did not show concern for Scabbers when Ron was so worried about him.  I think here she was more upset that someone would support Trelawnie"s prediction when Hermione does not beleive in divination than that Lavander was sad about her rabbit.
