Okay you two.  You got me questioning my interpretation, so I went back to the text.

Starting from Snape: 
"...Everything was supposed to keep [Harry] safe.  Now you tell me you have been raising him like a pig for slaughter--"
"But this is touching, Severus," said Dumbledore seriously.  "Have you grown to care for [Harry], after all?"
"For /[Harry]/?" shouted Snape. "/Expecto Patronum!/"
... Dumbledore watched [Snape's doe Patrounus] fly away... and his eyes were full of tears.
"After all this time?"
"Always," said Snape.

The /emphasis/ is JKR's.  I think the reading is clear;  Snape cared for Harry.  :D
