How would things be different if Snape had gotten the Elder Wand?

Pippin:
In the books, Snape never had it. Draco took it away from DD, it goes flying over the battlements  and we don't see it again until Voldemort finds it in Dumbledore's tomb. Presumably Hagrid found it on the grounds and placed it with Dumbledore's body.  Harry seeing it in the office and picking it up is from the movie.
