Fred is the bolder of the two. He's generally the first of the pair to speak. He's also a tad more hostile than George. He's the one who says things like, "Easy for you to say, stuck here! I don't see you risking your neck!" (to Sirius), and "Or any part of your body, really, we're not fussy where we stick this," (to the obnoxious Zacharias) in OOP.
George talks less and is more cautious, warning Fred, for example, that threatening to tell the Ministry what Bagman has been up to would be blackmail.
