Lynda:
Ohh! What fun! Okay here goes. Character deaths upsetting me the
most. There were three.

Hedwig, because she died in a cage, unable to fly and escape. Lupin
and Tonks, because there was (IMHO) no real reason for their deaths.
I know and understand JKR's reasoning, and her wish to have Teddy
raised as a "happy orphan" but I don't really think there are any
"happy orphans" and it just seems gratuitous to me for her to kill
off Lupin and Tonks.

Lynda:
Well, Cedric, Scrimgeour, and Harry's parents; all to show the evil
of Lord Thingy. And Lord Thingy of course. That's the whole point of
the story. The destruction of Lord Thingy.

Lupin and Tonks. See # 1.
