 I found the following statement about Pottermore that seems to be about how the visually impaired or blind user can work it best.  Another option, I know that when Pottermore first came out there were fan sites that collected the "new Rowling written content" so people could read it without playing the Pottermore games.  I don't know if this has been continued.  I hope you find a way to get the content, at least.  I love the back stories of several of the characters.
