Yes, that's the assumption we've operated under.  If there are newer members who want to discuss but haven't finished the series, and members are willing to included spoiler space and warnings, it would certainly be fine to do, of course.  But yes, it surely must be well understood to people joining the group now that they're going to find spoilers everywhere, so they must realize they are "reading at their own risk" as we used to say when new books would come out.
