I really think using either the term paparazzi or stalker goes way too far.
We're talking about a child here, not an adult and that means we shouldn't
be expecting adult behaviour or really talking about it in adult terms.
I think 'hero worship' is what we are seeing, and while I would agree that
under normal circumstances, it might be said to go on too long, in this
specific case, Harry Potter *is* a genuine hero.
So is Colin - he was underage at the time of the Battle of Hogwarts and so
was one of those sent away by Professor McGonnagal.
Yet he came back to fight. And he gave his life.
I see him as a kid who admired bravery and heroism. And had it in him to
show it as well. He had a camera and he liked to use it and that certainly
annoyed Harry but I think calling him a stalker goes too far, and I think
'photographer' is more accurate than paparazzi.
