We were on a family vacation to Canada in 1999 and Elder Son (then nine)
had run out of things to read. We accordingly hied ourselves to a bookstore
and I spotted "Philosopher's Stone" on the shelf (since we were in Canada,
it *was* "Philosopher's Stone," thank you very much). "These are supposed
to be pretty good," I told Norman, so he walked out of the store with it.
Ended up hooking the whole family.
