Ok, back on this old subject ey, I've written really long posts about what I think in this issue with evidence from chats and quotes alluding to my thoughts but I don't have them nor do I want to go looking for them but oh well, here's my take on things:

Lilly was in Gryffindor as the lovely Penny just said as for the Marauders we do know that they were all in the same house b/c towards the end of PoA Lupin was talkinga bout how happy he was at Hogwarts b/c he had frieds, those friends being the maurauders and his roommates.  They were NOT in Slytherin b/c Snape was in Slytherin and they were most defenately not room mates with Snape.  I don't think that they would have been in Hufflepuff nor Ravenclaw leaving Gryffindor as the only oppstion which I always thought anyways.  I know people have said that it wouldn't be fair for both Head Girl and Boy to be in one house but I say, 'so!?!' if the best choices happen to be in the same house then so be it.  I'm possitve that MWPP and Lily were all in Gryffindor even if I don't have all the proof in the world, there is no way that I could see James in Slytherin nor Lupin nor Sirius and well Wormtail's just a tag along.  Lupin is a good person and I think that the sorting Hat would look beyong his being a werewolf and Sirius is quite brave so that would put him in Gryffindor as well and James, well that's just where I see him.  Hopefully J.K> will clarify alll are questions from MWPP & Lily's time in the next few books
