b/c we do know that all the mauraders were roomates so in the same house and I really don't see Sirius in Hufflepuff, the people in Hufflepuff while they have good qualities are the more quitter crowd and I don't think that Sirius could fit into this category.  As for Ravenclaw, Wormtail doesn't strike me as one to belong in the Ravenclaw crowd as he was not as smat as the others which we do know from the book and I really don't see Sirius in Ravenclaw either, he's smart but not especially studius IMHO
