Why not just name your child > > "My-parents-are-sadistic-idiots"? > It would seem that the majority of younger wizards have more mugglish names now, but then we haven't heard all of them, only the ones Harry comes in contact with. Perhaps the older wizards come out of a sort of "flower-child" era in which weird names became popular. Or maybe these are old family names that, like some muggle names, have gone out of style. Naming trends come and go. Nowadays there aren't as many Hirams, Mollys, Graces, and Grants as there are Lauras, Justins, Jennifers, Ashleys and Alexies. > > ender I wish my parents came out of the flower-power what not age so thar I could have a really neat name and not have to worry about all teh paper work and junk I"ll have to do to get my birth, which happens to be Laura, changed, I like the wierd names or more unique names. NOw to get on topic, hm what can I say, oh yeah, I think these sorts discussions are really kinda funny, the people are named thay b/c these are Children's books and funny names amuze childrens and names with conection to the character's character amuse adults and smart kids. Oh well, let's keep thinking that in the wizarding world that's what they really would be named, I know some names would be used, constelation names is neat for the wizarding society but some names I'm sure we wouldn't see except for in fiction or part fiction :) ~Star~ _____________________________________________________________ Sign up for a Free, Web-Based email account at: The Home of Wicca on the Web.
