>Hagrid GoF: >"Yeh know what I'd love, Harry? I'd love yeh ter win, I really would. >It would show 'em all...yeh don' have ter be *pureblood* ter do it. >Yeh don have ter be ashamed of who yeh are." (the italics are mine) > >Woah! I assumed that since Harry's mum and dad were a witch and >wizard, Harry *was* a pureblood. I know Lily was Muggle-born, but >still, I didn't think that would qualify him as not "pureblood". >When Malfoy uses the term Mudblood, he only aims it towards Hermione >a full-blown Muggle-born, not Harry. > K, this is how I see it, mudbloods are pure-muggle borns, half bloods are some one with one wizard parent and one muggle parent(some confusin has been caused by Riddle calling Harry and half blood like himself but I think that Riddle was just demining Lily and/or Harry) and a pureblood is someone who has come from a LONG wizarding family. I think those that think that being a pureblood is so good that they call wizards/witches halfbloods if they don't come from a long line even if their parents were both magical like Harry's parents. Because some have this high view of pruebloods Hagrid was meaning that you don't have to come from a long wizarding line to be a powerful and good wizard/witch. ~Star~ _____________________________________________________________ Sign up for a Free, Web-Based email account at: The Home of Wicca on the Web.
