Just realized that I left my last post hanging at kind of an odd point.  So lest you all think I'm suggesting that Voldemort will somehow end up reformed, I'll finish out my thought. If V is, as I suggested, "infected" with some of Harry's goodness as a result of using Harry's blood, then it's possible that at a crucial moment, V will find himself unable to perform some act of cruelty, leaving him vulnerable. This would mean that V's final defeat would circle back to Lily's and James's original sacrifice in a satisfying way (well, satisfying to me, anyway).  This still isn't as clear as I'd like it to be, but I'll leave it there for now.
