Hey, I like Snape!  And I LOOOVE Sirius!  If Snape asked me out (and if I wasn't married) I'd go!  He'd be my "find the good within" project/boyfriend!  Actually, Severus might be more exciting to date than Sirius!  
A thought on these two as teens:
At the time of the mix up about Severus going to the Whomping Willow (and I subscribe to the it *was* a mixup theory)he was justa few years away form becoming a Death Eater!!!  He was probably a pretty awful person!  Not saying that it would be ok for the otehrs to just allow his death, etc.  But it would be pretty tempting!  In CoS, Ron suggests Harry knock MalFOY off of his broom, it'd be easier than doing the Polijuice Potion...Now I KNOW  that Ron was kidding!  But think about what was going on in their world (SSLP,etc) and to think about your classmate as being one of those Voldemort supporters...
