He may have had some other stops to make as well. Rather big day. Probably apparated/flooed a couple of times at least! 2) Yes, Minerva heard it on the news from Dursley's TV. Also, there may have been a few wixard folk who knew where Harry would be taken and came by Privet Drive to oggle. Also, I wonder if Arabella Figg already lived near the Dursleys prior to James & Lily's death, or was placed there immediately to watch over Harry? Perhaps her friends helping her move and get settled (MOM employees?) couldn't resist taking a stroll by? If she already lived there, well it is her "hood" afterall. ANyone else think that all her cats are actually "unregistered" animagi who "go cat" when muggles are around? They could be much like CIA agents who are allowed to be unregistered animagi to help protect their secret identities. Her floo could be a major hub for agent travel. Of course, then you ask "why wouldn't Dumbledore floo to Figg?" Gotta protect that identity (even if her friends might forget that, Dumbledore wouldn't). Ok, so I rambled a bit, but I think about Arabella quite a bit! (Do you think Sirius might stay with her a bit? "Now that crazy old lady has a huge dog!")
