    <font face="Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif">I imagine I'm not the only

      American who first heard of Harry Potter when "60 Minutes" did a

      story about a "Book series about a school for Wizards", shortly

      after _Prisoner of Azkaban_ came out. I loved how whimsical the

      first two books were; and I admit I was a bit disappointed to see

      the story arc take such a dark turn after Voldemort returned. But

      by then I was emotionally invested in the characters (definitely a

      testament to JKR good writing), and I continued to enjoy the

      series... Just not in the same light-hearted way as in the

      beginning...<br>
