I will be visiting my family this weekend to celebrate my god-son's
first birthday, so Saturday will be crazed. I arranged for Amazon to
deliver it to my mother's house after discovering that Border's in
Syracuse has *every one of their copies reserved*, so I predict that I
will be ducking into the bathroom to read it in bits and pieces during
the day, culminating in a non-stop read in my favorite easy chair once
everyone goes to sleep.

(Will the delivery man need a wheelbarrow to take the huge tome up to
our door? That is what I picture.)

Little Johnny is too young to understand Harry Potter. I am giving him
some nice baby picture books instead, and some nice nail polish and a
pedicure gift certificate for his mother. ("Dear Amy, This time last
year you were being wheeled into the operating room for a caesarean
you would never forget. This time I think you are due for something a
bit more relaxing....")
