Not terribly spoilery.
First, Midnight Madness at the bookstore. I didn't expect it to be
_that_ crowded. The youngest child I saw was probably 18 months to 24
months old. He was in costume as Baby Harry post-AK curse, complete
with an eye-liner lightning scar above his right eye. I'll admit he
looked cute, though somewhat bewildered. The most elderly person in
costume (or at least I HOPE he was in costume) was a 60-ish looking
man who looked like the Robby Coltrane Hagrid. Seriously, he had the
long unruly hair and the beard. Because he looked somewhat ferocious,
I didn't ask him if he was in costume or if that was his usual
appearance;)
At my Borders Books, they gave a number to those people who reserved
books. They called up groups of numbers to minimize any mob activity.
I was number 260. It took about an hour and 45 minutes before my
group number was called. I didn't get home until 2 AM this morning.
I didn't get to sleep until 3:45 AM because I read the first 5
chapters. All I can say is "WOW!" I won't go into any detail but
those 5 "little" chapters are jammed packed with information. Many of
the questions we've asked and mentally masturbated upon at the HPFGU
main board since GoF are answered there.
I won't be able to read anymore until tonight...got alot of moving
and cleaning to do, the contractor wants to start gutting the
basement by the end of the week.
