By the way, what would be good to do about posting on OT and here? I 
just posted on OT that Phineas Nigellus means "Black Black", and I 
don't know if I should put the same name etymologies here.

I'm under the impression that Flint HAS BEEN changed to a fifth year 
in recent printing of PS/SS. This bothers me ... I *liked* him having 
to do a year over; it went along with the Trio's hope that Goyle 
would fail his end-of-year exams and be held back (apparently now 
changed to "thrown out"), as evidence of Hogwarts NOT being exactly 
like Muggle school.

More important, I don't like canon changing on me -- it gives me 
feelings of insecurity. (My clue to complain about Susan Bones's dead 
relatives -- said in JKR interview to be her grandparents, in OoP to 
be her uncle, aunt, and cousins.)
