I'm excited to be here to discuss with everyone.  Hopefully I will 
be able to find some others who liked the book.  :D  

I guess I'll take a second to introduce myself.  My name is Kris.  
I'm 26, live near St. Louis, am a special education teacher and am 
an interpreter for the deaf at my church.  I tend to be really busy 
with graduate classes and other things.  

My first exposure to HP was when I was teaching in Wales.  All my 
students wanted to know if I had read the book.  It was 1999 and I 
didn't really think I would ever find time to pick it up and read 
it.  When I came back to teach in St. Louis, my students begged me 
to read the book to them.  As a result, I fell in love with the book 
and quickly read the following books.  Fandom all happened by 
accident.
