Pippin:
The shoot downs generally contain a mystery or two...why was it 
 important that Mark Evans have a common name? Who "sent" the
 Lestranges?

As for the ambiguous debunkings...
 Jo might feel that those who have taken the trouble to work things
 out deserve a little acknowledgement, at least as much as she can 
offer without giving everything away. She has to do it now.

If she says nothing, the fans who got it right, or almost right, 
will get no recognition for  sleuthing. It isn't so  
difficult to spot  clues once the mystery is revealed.
