Oscar Wilde, Aubrey Beardsley, decadence, Snape ... is this a pattern?
After many years, I have yet to forget a particularly sick line in
UNDER THE HILL, where the girls of Venus's realm are described as
having drawings on their legs which looks, through their white silk
stockings, like 'the most delicious bruises'.
