Some (once private) thoughts on HBP/relationships/Snape's background

No spoilers here.

I hate to throw a damper on all this lurvely speculation, but at one
point in OOP, Dumbledore tells Harry that he regarded their close
relationship as a danger and says, "I never dreamed I would have
such a person on my hands." 

I think that pretty much rules out a secret father/son relationship 
with anybody. Sorry.
