Voldy's protection racket was starting to get too pricey? Voldy had 
to get his cash from somewhere, a little sideline in extortion would 
help. Possibly he's running some kind of illegal potion scam as 
well, Madam Hooch has to do something when she's not giving first 
years their single flying lesson.

RAB has to be someone Harry can identify and trace, that's really 
why Reg is so appealing. Any Black would do for that I guess. 

I'm intrigued as to why, in the interview, JKR is so specific about 
Voldy *not* being the one to kill Reg. Does this mean that who did 
kill him (Snape?) or what (potion?) is significant?
