No, I don't think you're confused. I think you're making every effort
to refute the thrust of my arguments, to wring out the slightest
concession - even to seeking agreement against a point that was never
in contention - that might allow you some satisfaction in support of your
views, 'cos unfortunately the history texts aren't providing the expected
comfort to and validation of your own tenets.
Thus - obfuscation and 'misunderstandings' seem the best tactic,
the old 'if you can't convince 'em, confuse 'em' ploy. It doesn't impress.
Try reading my posts again.
Even better - read the book.
