I thought of the Barely-nosebleeding!Crouch!Moody thing too.  Do we 
know there'd be no green light?  Maybe more of a sea foam green than 
emerald? <---kidding

DD was bleeding at the mouth when Harry found him at the bottom of the 
tower.  Perhaps Snape hit him with a purposely wimpy AK and just gave 
him a bloody lip.
