Well, as was pointed out to me the other day, Morfin had previously 
attacked one of the victims, but yes, I've had questions about this. 
In fact Pippin and I went all round the houses on the whole issue of 
detecting magic a few weeks back, starting with

I'm not sure that we ever came to any kind of agreement. ;-)
