I was one of the people attacking Toadkeeper I. (Problem #1: Neville 
didn't get Trevor until about a decade after his parents were 
tortured.) But yes, this theory turns out to be really close to the 
idea of horcruxes, especially with Dumbledore explicitly saying a 
living creature can be a horcrux.  I feel rather bad about attacking 
the theory now!
