I'm surprised no one has replied on-list to you yet. There was much
discussion of Beedle the Bard on HPfGU-OT, starting at

unfortunately intermixed with people who are offended or gratified
when someone says 'Happy Holidays' to them instead of 'Merry
Christmas' ('Happy Christmas' for the Brits).
