SSSusan quoted:
''Yes, I am,'' she says. ''Which seems to offend the religious right
far
worse than if I said I thought there was no God. Every time I've
been asked
if I believe in God, I've said yes, because I do, but no one ever
really has
gone any more deeply into it than that, and I have to say that does
suit me,
because if I talk too freely about that I think the intelligent
reader,
whether 10 or 60, will be able to guess what's coming in the
books.'' <<<
Nice one. I just claimed on another group that the quote was lost.
So: would she still agree with that quote? I find it difficult to identify
any direct reference to God in the series - unless we take the rather
obvious biblical assertion: God is love. In which case, the whole series is
crawling with them. [Insert post-metaphysical riff here.]
But what precisely could we have predicted on the basis of what
understanding of God?
Baaaaaa!
Mike Gray (a.k.a. Aberforth's Goat, who is, in the other news, rather
pleased to disclose that he is actually a patronus.)
