An arena, an audience, a curtain, a hero and a villain facing off,
it all points to one thing: JKR decided to write the climactic
confrontation as a filk-musical.

The evidence of ruins suggests that Harry and Voldemort's
performance literally brought the house down.

Seriously, folks, the sky on the Book Seven cover doesn't really
tell us whether we're outdoors or not - there are multiple
references to faux sky tableaux magically projected upon the ceiling
of the Great Hall (e.g., thunderstormy clouds when Mad-Eye makes his
Book Four entrance)
