Please don't threaten me. I'd gladly be thrown off HPforGrownups for such a
reason, (posting off topic about the hurricane) believe me.

I am always astonished at the reasons people come up with for inaction.

Why should Harry Potter for Grownups become involved? Well, why is there a
way to donate at Costco? At my local school? At our local banks? At my local
church?
On several other listserves that I belong to....? Because the more times
people are reminded and given easy opportunities to give, the more cash will be
generated to relieve human suffering.

Because it galvinizes people...because it sends a message that we are human
beings involved with other human beings...because it would send a message that
Harry Potter fans are part of a community of concerned people in the world.

18,000 people is a lot of folks. It's an online community. All communities
should become involved.

Susan McGee
