Someone, Steve I think, mentioned about the cnn article - I think it is just
the salon.com one in a different place.
I wasn't sure if you knew about the membership jump, so decided it would be
a good idea to let the moderators know. I was basically guessing that
something along the idea of the message that John sent would be a good
idea - but thought it would look better coming from one of the moderators
rather than from myself as a normal person.

And here was me thinking you would be encouraging me to get on with the
FAQ's and ignore fanfic - <vbg>.
I have written the first third of an opening chapter / prologue, but will
let people know when I finally get round to posting it. I am writing a first
person fic, from the PoV of Ron, based after the end of GoF (it starts on
the train home). At the moment it is lacking anything resembling a long-term
plot - I have a few ideas I want to chuck into the story at various points,
I just have to work out where and how the story goes.


Simon (still upset at learning that he is only 33% obsessive concerning
Harry Potter after taking that test someone posted earlier)
