Status Update???

Hi everyone:

It's me again.  Nagging to see if we are any closer to completion on
these darned FAQs.  <g>  Now that Steve has admitted to being back from
vacation, perhaps he can tell us where things stand from his end.

I know I still have 3 of Simon's FAQs left to format & edit (Harry,
Wands (nearly done) & Predictions).  All my FAQs were formatted & I
think converted.  I never heard though if the JKR FAQ was being
reconverted so that the footnotes would come through.

I do need to update the Fanfic FAQ for sure before we go live as it
doesn't include any reference to the new & superior HP fanfic site:
FictionAlley.org.  So ..... I need some very clear, step-by-step
instructions as to how to update one of the FAQs that has been
converted.  Once I've updated, then what? Do I tell Steve who will then
replace the page on the website?  Can someone guide me as to how this
works?

Ahem.  I know you are all busy writing fanfic, creating fanfic sites,
studying abroad, caring for children, moving, working, repairing your
home (me!), and just generally living your otherwise full lives, but I
was wondering if everyone could report in with a quick status report as
to where they are with their FAQs.  We can then make a decision as to
when to go live with the website.  That is, if we know that someone
can't realistically get to their FAQs for another few months, we can
decide whether to go live with what we have or hold off until more of
the FAQs are finished.  So, this request is *not* meant to pressure
anyone -- we just need information so we can plan if that makes sense.

Who are we now?  We know we lost Melanie & Margaret.  So, I think our
group is now: me, Neil, Simon, Heidi, Carole, Ebony, John, the Goat, Jim
.... er, have I missed anyone?

I will email Caius & see if he would be persuaded to convert his
Dumbledore character sketch into a FAQ since we know we lost Margaret.
I think Melanie's FAQs were all reallocated to others.  The other
Margaret FAQ that I can recall off-hand is Lupin.  Amy Z is a huge Lupin
fan, so I will contact her to see if she would like to do that one for
us.  If you have any other FAQs that you haven't started at all & can't
see getting to for some time, let me know & I'll see if I can persuade
some of our other eloquent, newer members to join us.  <g>
