Oh dear! I am so pressed for time, but this is important. Quickly
then . . .

Amanda:

I know using the FAQ owner address won't work. The FAQ owner Melanie
disapparated years ago so no one else will receive the e-mails. We
could forward the messages here, but then we'd be tripping over them.

But . . .

<reels from massive brain wave>

What about the *other* FAQ list?

<glances at confused new members>

Quick history lesson . . .

Melanie owns this list. She is no longer in the fandom, so there's
no way to transfer ownership to someone else. Before we invited you
new folks in, we talked about perhaps abandoning this list and
starting a new one (with the same members) but with the ownership
problem straightened out.

Then I learned that we had enough privileges as mods to continue to
operate here, so I abandoned the other FAQ list, and we all got to
work here and invited you here. Besides, newer Yahoo lists have less
memory, so we need this list.

But that other FAQ list still exists! We could use that owners'
address and we could forward copies of Fantastic posts to that other
list. Then volunteers could catalogue them. No reading the whole
bloody list. No searching all of the main list for a post; you could
just do a search on the sub-list (new FAQ list).

Oh man. Should we do that? Let's decide *quickly.* I would need
time to invite you all in (and hopefully some of you could help me do
that). I'm disapparating myself on Friday.

Ooooooooooooooh.

<bows to Amanda>

Good one, Amanda!
