For the past year, rotating packs of Nifflers have made the
FictionAlley Niffler Recommendations (found at
http://www.fictionalley.org//fictionalleypark/forums/forumdisplay.php
?&forumid=106) a sparkling success! We've seen a wonderful range of
fiction pass through those boards, and hopefully have helped some
authors gain some new readers and more exposure for their excellent
stories.

And it's time for some new Nifflers! FictionAlley needs a new pack
of Nifflers (those little creatures from GoF who find glittery
things) to pick a few fics each month - things that might have been
overlooked when they were first uploaded, or fics that you feel
really deserve a wider audience - and recommend them to the
FictionAlley readers.

All you have to do, if you want to be a Niffler, is send an email
(by May 25) to nifflers at ... with the following
information:

1. vBulletin User Name: (you must be a registered user of FA)
2. Email address:
3. Review of a multichaptered story that is archived on FA
4. Review of a one-shot story that is archived on FA

Notes (for both the application and the Niffler Program):
A. Each review must be between 100 and 300 words and must contain
proper grammar and spelling.
B. You cannot review a fic that you beta-read or wrote.
C. Current Nifflers cannot reapply at this time.

How will we pick Nifflers?

We're looking for people who point out the good things in a story -
these are recommendations after all - but don't shy away from
offering constructive criticism if necessary. However, we're not
looking for counter-recommendations.

Good grammar and correct spelling (especially for character names) -
both are necessary!

What will the Nifflers actually do?

Each month, each Niffler will submit at least four recommendations
(all at once or one a week). The recommendations will be fics that
the Niffler thinks are good reads. Each recommendation will be
between 100 and 300 words, and not violate the terms of use.

Nifflers can recommend any Harry Potter fanfic (except NC-17 ones),
whether it's on FictionAlley or on another site - no matter how old
it is, as long as it's never been Niffled before.

If you have questions, please post them to FictionAlley's Writers &
Artists Yahoogroup at http://www.groups.yahoo.com/group/FAWA.
